If you've made it here — to reading therapist bios — part of you is already motivated to pursue growth and change, even if you aren't sure yet what that looks like. I believe no one is exempt from that potential, and my passion lies in helping people draw on their own curiosity, compassion, and effort.
Rather than asking "What's wrong with me?", I help clients explore a more useful question:
"Why does this make sense?"
Together, we'll explore the patterns and behaviors that developed to help you survive, understand what they're protecting, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others. I believe healing happens when we can become more authentic without sacrificing connection — and more connected without abandoning ourselves.
My role isn't to judge or fix you, but to help you cultivate a deeper curiosity about yourself and your experiences. My work is body-aware and grounded in current understanding of how trauma and the nervous system work — collaborative, compassionate, and paced to what feels right for you.
I hold an M.S. in Clinical Counseling from Prescott College with an emphasis in somatic (body-based) counseling, and I draw on a blend of approaches:
I specialize in helping people heal the impacts of trauma while navigating the things that bring them to therapy in the first place. I welcome clients of all identities, relationships, and backgrounds — this is an affirming, judgment-free space.
A comfortable place to land · Steamboat Springs
Reaching out can be the hardest part, so I try to make the first step easy. We'll start with a free 15-minute consultation — a low-key chance to hear what's bringing you in, ask me anything, and get a feel for whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure to commit.
Our first full session is mostly about getting to know you and what you're hoping for. From there we move at a pace that feels right to you — there's no script and nothing you have to share before you're ready. My role is to be curious alongside you, not to judge or fix.
Over time, we'll notice the patterns that once helped you survive, understand what they're protecting, and gently practice new ways of relating to yourself and others. You set the direction; I'll help you find the footing.
The easiest first step is a free 15-minute consultation. You can book a time directly or send me an email, and we'll find a moment to talk about what's bringing you in and whether we're a good fit. No pressure, no commitment.
